Here is a useful 40K close combat calculator I stumbled upon. It can give you results of rounds of close combat. Just insert the stats and your ready to go. (I recomend using the "full details" instead of "summary" when calculating.) members.optushome.com.au/eldar40k/combat_calculator.htm

We can sit here and talk statistics all day, but it doesn't mean much on game day. It all depends on how you roll. Statistics are never true. Lest just look at my rolls during the combat patrol game. My first game against the Space Marines, I rolled 5s and 6s like mad. The next two I proceded to roll 1s and 2s. Sure a guardsman shooting will hit 50% of the time, but the roll of a dice is random, making it impossible to truly rely on that statistic.

Well there is no sure fire way of finding out if your squad will win or not. That site is just to show you your chances and different examples of what could happen.

They could really improve that calculator by just adding a couple things. 1. Asking for number of models in base to base contact and 2. How many are w/in two inches of combat. That could make a big difference. I had put in 10 space marines vs 40 conscripts with and independent commisar and it didn't take any of that into effect. Just a thought.

I'm Sergeant now...cool! Well anyways, the system for that could be bettered but it would take a lot more time to fix it and I wouldn't wanna do that if I was the creator. If you can find a better cc calculator then post it.
