Featuring Dread Pirate Force Fortis (Andy Able)
And Rogue Trader Admiral Burnstead (Josh Check)
Admiral Burnstead didn’t like Imperial Administrators, no small wonder he didn’t like Imperial Military. Though, it was hard for him to ignore a bolt pistol and a mandate written by the Emperor Himself. Why did they want to tag along anyways? A whole company of Guardsmen, and they agreed to help fight in boarding actions against pirates? This was strange, they didn't ask for money, and they didn't want him to stray from his course.
“Admiral Burnstead you called for me,” it was Henry “the Numerator” Asukrane.
“Ah yes Numerator good timing, I was just reflecting on the recent events that have transpired.”
“You mean the Guardsmen sir? The men are anxious and don’t like them here. And not to be rude sir but, you know I don’t like being called that.”
“Numerator, may I see the shipment report?”
“I, I don’t have it with me sir, I left it down in my quarters”
“As the ship’s scribe you are charged with keeping accurate records of the ships cargo.”
“Yes sir”
“Well I think we may have one crate too many, The Avarice is pulling to the stern”
“oh well I think the-
“That was a joke Numerator”, the Captain cut him off, “Now go get me that report!”
Numerator scuttled out of the bridge. As the door shut on Henry, a com transmission broke the tomb like silence left in the little mans wake. “Sir we are picking up vessels on our radar we believe them to be pirates, and the Ebenezer hasn’t reported from her advance patrol.”
“Dammit I knew those Administratum scum knew something I didn't. Take up battle positions and tell all captains to have their scribes take an accurate recount of cargo”.

Darkness consumed Force Fortis, Dread Pirate and heretic. One of his Captains crew had just sacked The Ebenezer, a scouting ship that his old friend Burnstead stole from him.
"Burnstead was a fool not join me, the Empire is weak in her later years," he thought to himself in quiet meditation, "the weak forces of her Guard are soft, and aren't as pious as the Emperor would think, they talk easily if you poke them enough." A short snicker leapt from his lips as he recounted the torturing techniques used on the random trooper. Fortis cared not if he knew anything, the fact that he was able to glean information from the man was a plus.
"What did the troopers know?" Morgain, Fortis' mistress slinked in, "I heard from the rabble in the engine room that we are moving into attack formation".
"He said the men had heard rumors of a great treasure on board one of Burnstead's ships, big enough for the Imperial Guard to get involved on a Rogue Trader ship."
"And what if they are just that, rumors. Then what?"
"I get to kill Burnstead myself, and it is a good day to be alive."
"Burnstead!?"
"Yes why?" Jealousy was in Fortis' voice.
"No reason, I would just like to be there when you smite him," she moved to embrace him.
