[img src="http://www.yourfortress.com/Gallery/fow[1].gif"] Hello All, I am very proud to announce that 'Flames of War' Will be in the store shortly. Probably by June 6th (how's that for coincidence?). We will first be concentrating on the war in the desert and perhaps Italy, but with Bill Sullivan's large collection of stuff we will be able to move toward D-Day and the Eastern Front quite rapidly (if it's okay with Bill of course hehe). The Main Rules book will be carried right away, as well as the suppliments: Desert Rats; Desert Fox. [img src="http://www.yourfortress.com/Gallery/drats[1].jpg"] [img src="http://www.yourfortress.com/Gallery/DAK[1].jpg"] I can hardly wait!!! Later, Scott

This game is great! I got the foundation of a decent Italian army for about $16! I will be able to get a 500 point army for $24!

Hi All,
Just wanted to mention that Flames of War is still going pretty strong at the shop on Friday evenings.
Spencer is getting his Russians done, I am trying to finish British tanks and infantry that I actually get to keep, Joe is doing his Brits, Tyler has bought Shane's cool US force and Jon, Bill, Blue, Tyler and I still mostly show-up and play a 2,000 to 3,000 point game every Friday or so.
Check it out some time if you are interested in an easy set of WWII rules. For the hardcore GW fans, they will be happy to find that this game is somewhat reminiscent of Games Workshop games in its form, structure and point system.
This one is fun guys! Even if you don't like the scale, it is a good rules set and could easily be modified into a good set of 28mm rules etc.
Cheers,
Scott

Bill was kind enough to lend us some of his buildings and terrain pieces for Flames of War down at the shop.
Some real cool stuff here. Lots of domed churches and destroyed factory buildings etc.
We just played a 1,000pt sort of free-for-all on a giant table with lots of buildings and urban street fighting...WOW!
You'll see some pics soon.
We had great fun. Turned out we all sort of chose our armies on the fly without telling any of the other guys or planning it. We ended up having 2 Russian players, 2 German players and 2 U.S. players. So, we decided to allow those teams as allies and then we just dooked it out.
Great game and great buildings.
Thanks to Bill and to all the guys that took part.
See you next Friday Guys!
Scott
