hi all with the new book coming out I thought I would start a army of the green nuttas any tips?
at the moment i've got a boar chariot and a box of boar boys and a old old orc general on boar not really savage looking.
are savage orcs a good way to go they seem fun 2 attacks 3w/ 2 weapons really light on armor only 6 with shield but 6+ invulnerable saves so you'll always get a save lol.
then plan to wait for the forest goblins so I can get some numbers.

Speaking for myself, I love this Army!
Savage Orcs do not have the Armor it is true, but with weapons and strengths in Warhammer armor is almost a joke. I mean almost anyone can take away your armor save when put to it. So, the invulnerable of the Savage Boys is nice. They are a bit expensive but, when one considers what they just saved on other armor it is a pretty good way to go. You gotta love that frenzied attack! WaaaGH!
I liked the idea of Savage Orcs so much that I bought some of the new models right away, but was a little dissappointed by the lack of poses and 'animation' in this line. I then discovered Rackham Confrontations Orcs and Jackal warriors and My new army was born!
Oh, I also threw in some old school Savage boys too and this helped the over all savage look I think.
I cannot wait to see the new Gobbos with spiders. Lots of conversion possibilities here and I am already planning my first Diorama...hehe
Later,
Scott

Keep in mind though that the extra attack Savage Orcs have from frenzy will be gone once the lose only one round of close combat. So you want to make sure when you use them they will have a good chance to win the combat. But that ward save is very helpful especially since the normal boyz 6+ or sometimes 5+ armor save usually gets pierced through completely anyways by chaos or knights.
