Excellent! I myself have a Late Roman Army and a Pictish/Scots-Irish Army. I also have a good start on a Viking Army. Here, in the Store you can find some great figures for the exact armies you mentioned and the beauty of these guys is they are $12 for 8-10 Inf and/or 4 Cav! Bill the Old WWII player just bought an army from me and Eric also started some Barbarians. Nate has a Late Roman Army as well. This means we could probably start a cool British Isles Dark Ages Campaign fairly soon...YAY!!! I love this period and as far as the rules are concerned, you guys practically already know them. As they are basically the same as Warhammer Fantasy only without Magic and with a little more 'Realism' Cheers, Scott 'The Pict' Driver

I too was also looking into getting into this game as well. I was interested in Imperial Rome or the Greeks. How would that fit in with the armies that everyone at the shop has. I know it is possible to play armies from different ages, but is that really gonna be a good game?

Well, though technically your Romans will be a bit early for Vikings and Huns they will be just fine against Pict, Celts, Irish and most Barbarian tribes of many periods, etc.
The Northern British armies are virtually the same from around 100BC to about 800AD. There are some noticeable differences of course. Like Picts and Irish c. 100BC have more chariots and not as many long thrusting spear units, but this can all be addressed when preparing to fight in the diff. times.
Short Answer: Greeks and Early Imperial romans have plenty of Enemies and will be just fine!
Thanks for asking, good question.
Salute!

I would like to do a King Aurthur (the newest movie) army, based off my people, the Celts. I want about 500 points of naked soon to be Irishmen tripping on psycotropic drugs barking at the moon and their enemies. How much would this cost? What book would I need to look in for the list?

King Arthur Barbarians of Irish/Scots/Picts/Caledonians/Woads whatever... will be your best bet here. You can easily mix in a few Welsh as this will give you more options and mix in well with this period.
10 models a bag @ $12 a bag will cost you about $100.00 for a 400-650 point army/rabble depending on options, cav, shields, command, etc.
Cav are kinda expenssive at $12 for 4 horses and riders and they, Nobles and Fanatics are going to cost more points so will boost your army value accordingly...of course.
