Hello All,
The Fortress will be starting a Historical WAB Campaign in the coming year. This campaign will be set during the Fall of Rome to the Dark Ages periods as to allow for many varying armies, but also allowing for a historical context or frame of reference.
Army lists can be found down at the shop.
Here is a small sampling of lists that will work for this Campaign:
Late Roman Arthurian Briton Celtic Barbarian Germanic Barbarian Hun Viking Saxon Gothic Vandal Lombard Hiberno Norse Pictish Scots-Irish Rus Byzantine
Etc. etc.
While some of these Armies may appear to be conflicting in the time-line, they will be allowed. I want to be as inclusive as possible for the first campaign.
The campaign will last for the year with many people coming and going I'm sure. So, I have decided to make the campaign span from about 400AD to 900AD. This is not too far fetched and again it should allow us to facilitate anyone wanting to get involved.
More on this as I get closer to figuring out details like ship movement, time-line issues, maps etc.
Cheers,
Scott

Now that I know I can not do Samurai I am thinking about doing a Spartacus themed army. What armies do other people have or are thinking about getting for this thing???

Hi,
Currently my attention will be focused on the New Warhammer Campaign and this should give us some good ideas about how to run WAB.
I plan on at least painting a nice map and using a sort of Rome Total War look to the map based part of the campaign. We will be able to use the minis and some of the rules from conquest of the Empire. modified heavily of course.
As far as armies involved is concerned we mostly have Norse types and Late Roman types so perhaps a more specific British Isles campaign is in order unless we see some Huns or something in the near future.
Talk to you more soon.
