We need somebody to play High Elves. And if you do take nothing but Spearmen In blocks of 7x4. That's 21 attacks on anybody that charges you. Do it now. I have spoken.

do not listen to andys poison. he just wants some small weak elves on which he can uses his stubby dwarven fists to pound upon. I know, I played high elves, and i played andy. And i was quite unsatisfied with both.

I think he is in the meaning of High Elves are as solid as mud. He is soooo wrong. a 7x4 unit of high elf spearmen gets up to 21 attacks against a unit that charged them! that, boys and girls is quite a bit.

Basicly the Biggest two flaws of high elves are as follows
a) Expensive as a solid gold pair of doc martins
b) toughness THREE
otherwise they are fun to play, and look nice.

I know I play orcs and they are toughness 4 but I don't see what's wrong with three. Its not a big deal and their Ws and Bs make up for it. I mean sure my orcs hit them on 4s and wound them on 4s but a spearmen will hit on 3s and wound on 5s which is the exact same thing basically. Plus would it make sense if they had more than toughness 3?

Ahem!
IMO
The Issue is not their Stats. It is how much one pays for those stats.
High Elves can be a solid list and can be very dangerous, but typically this occurs in higher point games where they can take advantage of some of their more costly units/advantages. They have solid Magic, but that has gotten weaker in recent updates/versions of Warhammer.
High Elves look cool, but I still consider them somewhat a finesse army, as it takes an experienced player to be able to balance this Army for regular wins.
Anyone can have fun with it, but they typically get stomped by Dwarves and Bretonnians among others if the point total is less than about 2500.
Any Regular High Elf Players out there want to enlighten us?
Cheers,
Scott
