The codex actually calls them missile launchers. But with our superstitions, we call them rocket launchers. A rocket and a missile are two different things.

Missles have the word "miss" in them, hence they are bad luck.
Yeah dude, mobile bunker. Thats what I am saying. Also, since there is no scoring units in a Combat Patrol game who cares. I would have taken a Wave Serpent if I could have and I was playing Eldar.

Andy...you Eldar hater. You just wish you were an Eldar.
Now back on topic...Lascannons have the non-can in them. So remember that means never put your soda cans in a Lascannon or any type of cannon.

Matt Onkin has tried ratlings. I thin rough riders would go great in a mechanized force, but I hate the look of the models. Ogryns, once again, the models suck. So for a short answer, no, no, no.

They are all very solid choices. Ogryns are your h-to-h specialists, capable of taking on several squads of chaos marines. Rough riders can easily protect your flank or harrass the other players', and ratlings can take out any trrop on the battlefield, from wraithlords and C'Tan to the lowliest gretchin. You just have to analyse the situation and determine which is gonna give you the most bang for your buck.

Okay, let's not get off track here. So...how effective is the Hellhound tank in battle?

Post by SenatorGregory on Mar 2, 2005 20:43:21 GMT -5
hellhounds i heard were the bomb, ive often considered purchasing one myself.
But wait a sec, what do you mean the ogryn models suck? dude, they only reason the models are dumb is because the ogryn is a particuly silly looking creature. Besides, i think the odels look great when painted/based/converted properly.
And also, remember ratling snipers cause a pinning test when the fire.
And, as the normal rough rider models suck, i have often considered creating my own conversions using dark elf cold ones, or something of the like, to make lizard rough riders.

That idea of Lizard Riders sounds pretty good. Especially for a barbaric or desert world Guard Army.

Good Idea!
There is a picture depicting a RR unit like this in:
"The Complete Games Workshop Catalog and Hobby Reference"
Check them out, they're cool.
Ciao,
