Okay so I was surfing on Portent.net, which is a GW rumour site. A lot of their 40K rumours come to be truth so that is why I am posting this. In Epic Armageddon there is a list for an Eldar Autarch. An Eldar Commander who has seen war so many times that he knows every possible outcome. Where the Farseers can look into the future and rely on knowledge of whats to come, the Autarch uses knowledge of what has been! The Autarch is also Master of the Exarchs and the Aspect Warriors. This may mean a low points HQ we can take! I am excited to see the new Codex! Here are the links... www.portent.net/newsitem.php?id=44That goes to portent.nets message www.specialist-games.com/epic/assets/pdf/swordwind/swordwindpt1.pdfThat Goes to Specialists Games' PDF file look on page 15.

When is the new Eldar codex going to come out anyways? Also is it going to be combined with the Craftworld codex?

If they give the eldar a new HQ choice I will punch them sooooooo hard with my mind that they might feel something all the way over there in jolly old England. I don't quite have my Jedi mind powers up to snuff yet so back off okay. Why would the Eldar ever need another HQ choice? you have a guy who fries brains and tanks and then you have the AVATAR!!! what do you really need after you have an AVATAR? I mean really now!

Yeah but they are to strong, you can't take either for a combat patrol game. They will function like the Phoenix Lords.

How do you know so much about Eldar?
Yeah, our HQ choices are super demon or super psycher. You can't get Warlocks without a Farseer and that majorly henders the Eldar in smaller games. This new HQ choice, if he is the master of Aspect Warriors will give an actual potent warrior HQ to Eldar.

And you're saying that an aw-buttload of guardians in a 500 point game wouldn't rock with some heavy weapons? So many guys to soak up the bullets while the heavies take out anything dangerous! I just think that would be awesome. But I digress, just how many points is a warlock or whatever it's called, you know the HQ one? It can't be that many for something that can fry my 210 point Librarian in one shot. Jerk.

The thing of it is he has too many wounds, and you can't take warlocks without a Farseer. Phoenix Lords shouldnt be special characters anyways.

Well if they're lords then maybe they should be special charachters. Besides, making them into the unit upgrade would just make me want to punch something because they are way too friggin good

Nah from what I have been told they were origionally meant to be HQ choices. I mean look at their stats they aren't anything like Iyanna or the Wild Rider Cheif or Especially Eldrad Uthuan, they are just kinda...there

What aboot the swooping hawks exarch? Or really any exarch for that matter. They kick the crap out of most anything they come into contact with. Especially troops.

They are just an upgrade, like a unit champion. Not that great, yeah they get "powers" but they are far less stupindious than Chaos.

As much as I hate to agree with anyone who has Rev. in their name I think all armies should have some sort of HQ choice that they can take in combat patrol missions. Not that eldar need any help in the HQ area for reasons stated above.

i think it would be cool if a gaurd patrol could be led by a commisar, thatd be sweet. Although i think there is a way if you tweek with the doctrines a bit.
