The Tomb spiders actually give him a we'll be back save against things that don't allow it such as power weapons

Not to mention they do much better in HtH then the point cost in basic Troops. I played 1 mostly because it gave me a fairly good anti Assult Squad figure. and its doesnt give WBB rolls to guys who die from instant death, it lets you pick up guys even though the squad dies (if there is another squad on the table)

They are also rather cheap. Also it might make your oppenent think twice before assulting your warrior squad right next to the lumbering tomb spider.

55, well worth it when you can make scarb swarms with them.

And you make them no matter what but on a roll of 1 it takes a wound. However if you stick him with a big ol' unit of anything it just became a H-to-H Juggernaught in my very biased opinion.

You know what else is insane. Wraiths! What are they, Str 6 Int 6! That is crazy. They smash tanks, small units, gerbils, anything!

Actually it's a 3+ save but they're too many point to be of use. 41 pts for a str 6 model and only one wound. Max unit size of 3.

yeah I feel the only thing useful to feild in the army is warriors, destoyers and tombspiders.
wraiths are good but only T4 and 1wound dosn't matter if they have a 3+ inv
immortals maybe havn't tried them yet they are expensive both point and moneywise though for T5 and a better gun then warriors
flayed ones are good if you can deepstrike or infiltrate close then fight things with low LD
pariahs much to expensive for something that cant' get back up no thanks i'll keep my lord with immortal or warriors.
Scarabs now this things i'm going to try as 3wound jetbike swarms that can munch on tanks seems really helpful.
Heavy destroyers not really sure just a one shot higher normal destroyer to me

immortals are a great cleanup squad the point better in all demention makes up for the extra points you have to lay down. Plus the assult 2 wepons with ap 4 are great for killing smaller guys (like Tau). Overall one of the better elite choices.

Once again, in my very biased opinion, I think the only good Necron units are 1. Warriors 2. Scarabs 3. Tomb Spiders 4. Destroyer Lords and finally 5. Normal Destroyers, not the heavy destroyers.
