Hi Guys and Gals,
I have copied this in the Imperial Guard Board as well, but I thought that it would be cool to share this guy here...
Many of you have probably either overheard me talking about this or have been directly assaulted by my little scheme of converting an entire Praetorian Imperial Guard Force into a sort of British Colonial Army c. 1900's Earth.
My plan is to put all of these Pith helmeted, fancy-pants, stiff necks in khaki and see what they can do on the 40K battlefield particularly against Horde armies (like the Mahdists and Fuzzy-Wuzzies of Omdurman in the Sudan about 1896).
Seeing Chris Parmenter's Finished Guards Army and talking with Greg about his themed army has only made me all the more inspired and this project is actually starting to build a head of steam as it were.
With this in mind, I thought i would share with you gents my first proto-type Chimera Armored Car. This is a conversion that I must repeat no less than three times and I definitely made some mistakes with this first proto-type, but I have learned from them and will put two more together faster and with better lines here in no time.
I have included a couple of pics here and will be adding this project to the galleries in Hand Pict Studios special projects soon.
Please bear in mind that this AC was supposed to sort of resemble the Armored cars of WWI and WWII giving the Sudan Themed Imperial Guard Army that keenly British Colonial feel.
Enjoy...
Thanks for looking.
Cheers,
Scott
